Partnering To Possess The Land
The process has begun... (more)

Chapel Valley has purchased land and is preparing for the next step. We would like to invite you to partner with us on this journey to “Possess the Land.” We believe that this opportunity has been a major blessing from the Lord and that He has many more great things in store!

The opportunity of a matching pledge of $30,000 has been given to Chapel Valley. This pledge has been committed to the upcoming building project of Chapel Valley. For every dollar you set aside for the “building fund” of Chapel Valley, it will be matched up to
$30,000. Feel free to use the “Possess the Land” envelope inside
your bulletin and turn it in during the offering. Thank you!

Foursquare Women's National Gathering
"Behind every influencer is a story...," February 19-21, 2009 (more)

These words began to resonate in my heart many months ago as I traveled across the U.S. meeting the most amazing women. As they would share their stories with me I just kept thinking, “People have to hear this!” Each of us has a story to tell, one that influences others. Each one tells of joy, pain, disappointment and through which the beautiful lines of God’s love, faithfulness and grace are penned. I heard a song this past year that describes this so well…

“ If I had the words to tell you exactly how I feel
Then I could fill a million pages with all you’ve done for me
And if I traced each memory and the source of
all my dreams
Cover to cover you’d see …
… the story of my life is you.”

Shannon Wexelberg, “Story of My Life”

Storytelling has been a way of life throughout history. It is the trademark means for influencing each generation and passing down heritage and family identity.

A common “place” for storytelling is the front porch. We invite you to join us on our “porch” February 19-21 in the Omni Hotel at CNN Center in Atlanta, to hear the God-written stories of His family’s women. It will also be a great opportunity to tell your own story to old and new friends! Some of you may remember the national gatherings of Foursquare Women in Fort Worth, Texas, in 1995 or in Tulsa, Okla., in 1998. We pray Atlanta 2009 will be another weekend to remember as we inspire, challenge and commission a new generation of influencers! We want you to leave with the confidence that:

• All your days were ordained and written in God’s book.
• He empowers you as you tell your story.
• You are a woman of influence!

See you in Atlanta,

Tammy Dunahoo
Foursquare Women Director

Now Is The Time To Cover Our Nation In Prayer
Saturday, October 28, 2008 at 6:00pm (more)

Two years ago, our first “Foursquare Family Prayer Gathering” assembled more than 30,000 participants in approximately 300 locations across the nation. Once again we are planning to gather, via satellite, to join in prayer and praise AS ONE BODY NATIONALLY - joined by God’s Spirit for the National Foursquare Church Family Prayer Gathering on October 26, 2008 at 6:00pm.

The historic moment and the crisis issues now before our nation mandate that we join together to understand God’s direction and to extend His Kingdom in our own country. The Word of God does not give us a promise of political control. It does, however, command us to be faithful stewards of what we have been given. In our free land, we are given both the privilege of casting an informed vote and the responsibility of humbly and boldly seeking God’s mercy and moving in our land. We must do both - and his call urges us to do it together.

Food Drive 2008
November 2nd - December 5th (more)

We are partnering with the Fitchburg Police Department again this year to collect food for the Allied Community Food Pantry. Throughout the next five weeks we are asking each person to bring in items that the Food Pantry has said are in high need. The food pantry helps dozens of families per month by providing some of their most basic food needs. Our goal is to assist the Fitchburg Police Department so that together we can reach people in need. While all non-perishable food items are happily accepted, at the Community Center you will find cards that list all of the high need items for the pantry. Please bring your food in each week and place it on the stage. We will watch together as the piles grow.

Weekly Focus Items:
November 2 - Toilet Paper and Ramen Noodles
November 9 - Mean-in-a-Can and Toothpaste
November 16 - Hamburger Helper and Diapers
November 23 - Pork & Beans and Shampoo/Conditioner
November 30 - Canned Fruits, Canned Vegetables and Bar Soap
