Chapel
Valley Community Church held its first service on September
13, 1981 under the name of Victory Life Church. The services
drew non-churched as well as people from many denominations
who were hungry for a more personal experience with God.
This has been the tradition of Chapel Valley.
On September 13, 1992, Pastor Tim and
his wife Kim were appointed to the pastorate of Victory
Life Church. Lifetime Madisonians as well as regular attenders
of Victory Life, they have continued the mission of bringing
people to a personal and relevant relationship with God.
In the process, they have learned NOT
to try to make a church grow, NOT to be religious, and NOT
to act like anything other than what God was developing
them to be. What they did learn was to worship the Lord
consistently, teach the Word faithfully, and love people
genuinely.
On February 9, 2003, the Pastors, leadership
and congregation officially changed the name of Victory
Life to Chapel Valley Community Church. This name change
effectively reflects the continuing focus of sharing the
message of the Gospel with the communities surrounding Chapel
Valley.
